Holiday Open House

This evening (Monday, Dec. 22) from 4-8 p.m. we are having our Holiday Open House.  We have new work by Gorjus (including the piece above), new glass pieces by Jerri and a few new photos of mine.  Tons of great last minute gifts: Sandusky Reviews, glass jewelery, matted photos, and more!  Stop by and enjoy some holiday cheer, and take care of those last few hard-to-buy-for people on your list.

Jerri’s Booth

This year we went with a corner booth, it is a slightly different setup than normal, but so far the response has been good.  We also added five more lights to the setup; you can never have too many lights.

We are setup right across from the main entrance, come check out the show and stop by to say hi.

Chimneyville

Jerri and I will be at the trade mart all weekend for the annual Craftsmen’s Guild show.  Tonight is the preview party, then tomorrow (Dec. 6) we will be open 10-6, and Sunday noon-4.  Admission is $10, except tonight for the preview party which is $50.

Not only has Jerri made a ton of new jewelery, a lot of it in matching sets, but she also has some great new kiln formed pieces, like the ones below.

Elvis the Dog

elvis the dog

My life has been a little heavy on the Elvis lately.  This Elvis is only 12 weeks old, and is destined for holiday card fame.

Anne’s Dog

This is a piece by Anne Campbell, one of the owners of Artichoke, for whom I just finished up some “slides.”

Caleb

A couple of images from a newborn session that I’m working on laying out in a birth announcement.

Unidyne Mic

Smith Taylor Wedding

This is one I’ll be working on for weeks, but I always want that immediacy of reward and have to process at least a couple of images . . .

New Series

B0079P 0063_18x18B0079P 0050_18x18B0079P 0008_18x18

These are all from a new series I have been working on for the last couple of weeks.  I’ve been lucky enough to get critical feedback from a few good friends, which is essential to me.  The images contain some hand drawn segments, mixed with patent drawings and overlapping exposures of cameras; and all of the patent drawings actually relate to the antique cameras in the image.  Unfotunately, I don’t think the images work very well small, so these will probably never be printed smaller than 10×10.

Clinton Senior

Clinton Senior '09

A casual shot from a Senior session.  (I am amazed how many people hear that and think I am photographing someone over 65.)  The outdoor shots, which I rarely do, were some of the mother’s favorites . . . perhaps I’ll have to do more outside work.
