Let me know if you find any bugs . . . Jayrah and I are heading out to see our newest great nephew in the morning, so it will probably be a few days before I get the wrinkles ironed out.

stuffs gonna be screwed up for a while . . .
The hosting company I use lost a drive on “server43″ which happens to be where Vindauga is hosted. So, if you commented in the last three days (evidentially how long since they last backed up my site), then it is gone into the ether. Or if you are hud and posted anything recently, that is gone as well. Sorry.
I got rid of the splash page on LightandGlass.net, so you no longer get to see by 15 second animation about our logo. Sorry Mac.
Tell me what you think, better now? Or you never went to that site anyway?
If you took the time to look back through my old posts you would see that from the time I quit working for photo images (early Sept.) until the beginning of Nov. I was doing pretty good about posting every day, or close to it. Sadly that all tanked as we entered the holidays, and I could probably provide way too much explanation for not finding the time to post, but you don’t care, suffice to say it was a good thing that I couldn’t find the time. Due to that lack of time I now have a substantial backlog of photo-related and studio-related things to post. Probably the biggest thing I let slip by was the show “Stereo,” which was fabulous, but I’m going to try and give everything its own post … so we shall see. And just because I haven’t mentioned it in a while, make sure you click on “Hud Stuff” (under categories, on the right side of your screen) occasionally to see what randomness Hud is talking about now. Sadly, we don’t let Hud’s posts show up on the front page, so you have to actively go look for what he says, and normally he is saying something about weather, philosophy, plagiarism, and occasionally photography.
If you or someone you know has lost a full can of Natural Light, please send me your name and contact info, or the name and contact info of the person you believe lost this full can of Nat Lite. The can was separated from its owner sometime early Sunday morning, and although it is now empty, it still would very much like to be reunited. Local crime scene investigators believe it may have became lost after slipping from its owners hand while the aforementioned owner was demonstrating a pitching style out the window of a moving car. Again, if this sounds like your can, or you have a good idea whose can this is, please don’t delay the reunion any longer.

Jacktoberfest went well: Koi had a good crowd, lots of beer was sold, lots of brats were eaten, and lots of art found new homes.
Harry Callahan: Eleanor will be on display at at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta from September 8 – December 9. High Museum describes the show with the following:
This exhibition focuses on the two decades from the early 1940s to the early 1960s when Eleanor was the primary focus of Callahan’s work. This period resulted in many of his most acclaimed and influential photographs. These photographs of Eleanor include precisely arranged formal poses in public spaces and intimate nudes.
It has been a while since I took any pictures at the market; long enough in fact that very few of the vendors are the same. I’ve hosted the images on LightandGlass.net, but the album isn’t visible unless you use this link. Continue reading ‘Pics from the Belhaven Market’
I have been officially self-employed for two weeks now. What have I accomplished in that two weeks? Actually, a decent amount of what I intended to get done . . . but, I haven’t started keeping the blog more up to date, which I will begin today. And because I am intending to make a very solid attempt to post once per day, I will dole out my news slowly so as to still have something to say. And in the interest of having things to say, if you have any ideas for the photoshop tutorial or action you would like to see, send me an email or post a comment.
