Everything is not perfect, but I have a gallery again! I owe a large debt of gratitude to a person I believe is a developer for gallery 2, Valiant. Without him/her I would have had to start over. Now to start finding the problems . . .
Please comment if you notice any layout problems with the gallery.
Also, for those of you with access to the personal galleries, you should be able to log into those sometime next week after I get everything else sorted out.
As you may have noticed, I screwed some shit up. What a ridiculous time to start messing with upgrading unstable software, I am entirely too busy to have time to figure this all out. Sadly the error messages at left are the good version of the problem. As soon as I have time I will either figure it out or attempt to roll back to a working version.
I stopped using simple viewer today. I loved the look and interface, but I wanted more. I swapped to gallery 1.5. If I can get everything working smoothly, I may update to 2.0 and try to intergrate it with wordpress sometime in the near future. Now you all have the ability to leave comments on anything in the gallery.
UPDATE
I am now running Gallery 2 Beta and Wordpress Gallery2 plugin. Let me know if you find anything that isn’t working, or screws up the layout.
So after a couple of tries, I have updated my version of wordpress. Because of this new version of wordpress I also had to update exhibit and hack it with some lovely code from wordpress.org. This results in the most activity on my blog in months.
Here is a test of the new exhibit:
I have altered the layout to prevent scrolling on a screen with a width of 1024, but I have retained the site layout>small (800) link. I have also created two repetitions of the loop in order to show anything under the category of sidebar in the left hand column, but not in the center column. And last but not least I have created and administrative category that is invisible in the category links on the right, yet still shows up in the general posts.

I am begining to feel I need a category for site maintenance more than one for art.
I put a link back to the home page on the gallery/simpleviewer pages. I also finally got the rss feed/headlines to work, much to Gclarks pleasure. Here is the plugin.
