As some of you may know, Jerri and I just returned from Portland yesterday. All the images from the trip are in a new album.
The first few images, such as this one
are views from our hotel window.
The first place I went to photograph was the Japanese Garden in Washington park.
Afterwards, I wandered through the International Rose Test Garden.
It misted rain on me during the first two stops of the day, unfortunately the rain increased as I wandered through the park. I went to the Vietnam Memorial, which was more poignant than I expected, especially considering the interesting use of humor in the memorial.
The next day I went to the Saturday Market (imagine Belhaven Market on a lot of steroids). After checking out the market I decided to walk back through downtown to the hotel. Most of the way I walked along waterfront park.
The next day I rented a car while Jerri was in her last session of the conference, and when she was done we took an extremely leisurely drive through the Columbia River Gorge.
That’s awesome!
