I assume I am a lot like everyone else in my dread of Mondays, but today happened to be a particularly decent Monday. First off, I didn’t go into work, which alone would have made it a good day. Second, I actually managed to run many of the errands I intended to, and I finally got my grass cut (accomplishing everything on my list for the day). And finally, as an added bonus, I happened to get some pretty good shots of democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards, when he stopped in Canton, Mississippi this afternoon.

Love the b&w but can’t get over the glare on no. 2. What’s it from?
I really like the glare . . . I was tempted to take it a little further in photoshop, because I thought it might be a stronger image if the non glare area looked more like shadow. As far as what it is from, I have a couple of theories, but I’m not positive. My guess is that from the crowd of people around it was a shadow from equipment and people OR I happened to sync up with someone else’s flash . . .
It looks like something got in between you and Edwards but it wasn’t substantial enough to be more than a blur (looking for the glary things on the left side).
Did you use your filter?
I like the glare, too. He looks a little like an angry Ken doll in that picture. So maybe a G.I. Joe.
