Portrait or Old Work

Since trying to organize the gallery section a little better I have found myself unsure of how I should categorize my own work. The following image was exposed around 1995, but it hasn’t been printed since until a couple of weeks ago, when I printed it as a gift for the model.  So should it go in old work or portraits?

And for my readers out ther like Hud . . . it was exposed on 400 tmax with my Nikon 6006, which was my first “real” camera (i.e. slr).

He certainly had some pretty hair. Ha. Seems like that was forever ago.

Thats not you, thats a lady. A very manish lady.

I’d put it in Portraits. But, I guess it depends on what you want Old Work to represent. If it is meant to provide a venue for understanding how your art has changed and how it has remained the same, then this should go there. If its meant to be a catch-all for things that don’t exactly fit anywhere else, then it should go in Portraits. Either way you might consider a naming convention that includes that year the picture was taken (and/or when the image was created; in case you decide to take an original image and mess with it significantly).

Sometimes I forget what Uncle Gorjus used to look like, I don’t have a lot of photos from that time frame. Cool shot, btw.
